Help a Sweaty Teen!!?
I've been searching for some deodorants and so far Certain-Dri & Mitchum are the "best". I really need something to stop the sweatyness under my pits. ALSO, if i apply deodorant on my hands will that stop them from sweating too?

what you're after is an antiperspirant. they have things in them that should lessen the amount of perspiring you do. as for your hands, i would not put that stuff on your hands.

maybe you should see a dermatologist if you're super concerned about it.

you should be able to get antiperspirants anywhere you get deodorants. you can even get antiperspirants with deodorants. many have BOTH ingredients!

Teen guys, what do you think of sweaty girls?
what if you're in a club/sport with a girl and you see her get really sweaty and quite "messed up" and worked up....is it a turn-off? and what if she's a newbie who keeps on trying but somehow fails?

For me a girl working hard in a sport isn't a turn off. I think a fit and healthy girl is more likely to be fun to go out with because she'll be energetic and lively, plus she'd have a better body. And if the girl was new in the sport and was trying hard but messing up it'd just give me a reason to try and get closer to her without revealing I liked her! I could offer to help her get better by like, coaching her or something! I think it'd be awesome!

I'm a teen and I have sweaty palms.?
It's quite irritating, when I am hot or nervous, they get all hot and sweaty and red.

It's embarassing. People ask 'why are your hands so red?' and i can't exactly explain 'oh that's because you're making me nervous' or just shrug and say 'i'm hot', because that's not normal.

I haven't been to a doctor about it, and I'm wondering what to do.

if this is something you have never had before being a teenager (pubity & hormones) i would worry to much about it......
if it is makeing you feel anxious go see a doctor, but the body goes through some strange stages at ur time of life

What are some solutions for sweaty armpits?
I'm 24 and I've had sweaty armpits since my early teens. I would hope in 2007 that there would be some type of breakthrough that doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. If any one has any tricks and tips to limiting the sweating, hinding the sweating stains while in public, and getting out sweat stains and orders please pass it on. if you want to start out not going to a doctor, there's something you can buy that's called certaindry, or another one called 5 day, that can help with sweating. you should also try using a men's antiperspirant/deodorant--i'm pretty sweaty, and that's the only thing that works for me.
as far as covering it up...AVOID gray--i've found that this shows sweat the most. obviously black and white don't show it much--but don't buy expensive white shirts because getting the stains out is hard...you can try those clorox bleach pens right after you take your shirt off, and treat it again with shout or something similar before you wash it.
to lessen your sweating, avoid caffeine, spicy foods, smoking, alcohol, and synthetic clothing.

It sounds a lot like Cholinergic Urticaria to me (and it is probably nothing to do with acne). I have it, and I also run a website about it (www.cholinergicurticaria.net).

Anyway, any time I get hot or exercise, I get this really intense itchy and stinging feeling all over my skin. It is mostly over my upper torso, face, arms, etc. It itches like crazy, and drives me nuts.

As soon as I cool down, it starts to go away. It feels really uncomfortable, and can happen any time I get hot (exercise, hot showers, eating spicy foods, getting nervous or anxious all of a sudden).

I am not doctor, but your symptoms sound exactly like mine. Especially if you don't have a rash or anything. I will get small pinpoint hives and redness during the itching, but it goes away immediately after it is over.

What happens is that your body has developed a hypersensitive response to the sweat process, and chemicals released in your body that causes you to sweat. Therefore, any time you get hot, you get the hives feeling. It is histamine being released that causes the uncomfortable sensation of stinging and itching. Just like fire ants or something.

On the site I mentioned above, it has loads of articles and a forum if you want more resources about it. There is also a forum of people who have this same condition, and you can read lots of good tips and so forth.

Best deodorant for a teen girl with excessive sweating?
I'm 13, and I can't wear cute shirts because they are against my under arms, and I sweat a lot, so I don't want them to get all sweaty. It makes me really sad that I have to wear baggy-ish t-shirts so they don't get sweaty. It's really embarrassing too. I sweat even when it's cold outside. I need a REALLY good deodorant that will stop the sweatiness so I can wear my cute shirts like normal girls.

i have the same problem. you can tell your doctor and they can give you prescription deodorant. i put it on at night and wash it off in the morning and i dont sweat AT ALL under my arms for a few days. i love it. but when i dont use that i use either dove deodorant or mitchum bc it has the maximum level of active ingredient. also use adidas or other sport deodorants even use guy deodorant noone will know. lol but yeah hope this helps

yep 2 words. Certain Dri. The stuff is amazing. Get it at Wal-Mart. You put it on before you go to bed and it works over night. When you get up, put on some sort of clinical strength antiperspirant/deodorant. Dove and Degree make them. They are both good.
